Goodhope has entered into a Sale Purchase Agreement for the sale of Arani Agro Oil Industries Ltd (“Arani”) to AAK AB (“AAK”). Arani, a specialty oils and fats processor, was acquired by Goodhope in 2011 and is located in the Kakinada port in Andhra Pradesh, India. AAK, a Sweden based company, is a market leader in high-value specialty oils and fats.

Premium participated at Gulfoods manufacturing 2016 which was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. With over 35,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors this is one of biggest events for the food manufacturing industry. Premium had a stall in the ingredients section and had nearly 500 visitors to the stall during the 3 day exhibition. During this event, both existing and prospective customers were able to sample chocolates and biscuits made using Premium's range of specialty fats.
The Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition, the world's largest annual trade show for the food and hospitality industry held from October 27th to 29th was hugely successful with participants from around the world.
The Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition which just ended (November 9-11) was a spin-off from the hugely successful Gulfood event, the world's largest annual trade show for the food and hospitality industry.
The Exhibition is broadly categorized into three segments - Ingredients Middle East, Propack Middle East and Food Logistics Middle East. This year Premium Group participated at this event showcasing its range of specialty fats and refined oils with an impressive stall at the Dubai World Trade Center. The Premium stall was located in the Ingredients Section and had visits from a considerable number of both existing and potential customers. Attending this event allows us to interact with many of our stakeholders’ under-one-roof. Most of our competitors like IOI, Wilmar, Cargill and IFFCO were well represented with stalls located in the same section.
There were 24 official country pavilions spread across the show-floor and the Gulfood Manufacturing Exhibition was organized as the global food industry’s largest-ever Hosted Buyer Program, an initiative designed to highlight the region’s rapidly expanding F&B manufacturing and production infrastructure to influential buyers from countries including Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Iran and Nigeria amongst others.
